Very interesting and astute reading of the film. I veer more towards the Wes Anderson is an inadvertent racist/Asian fetishist explanation for Isle of Dogs, but your view certainly raises some interesting thoughts to consider. Is it possible Isle of Dogs is a modern day Pigs and Battleships? (There is a weird bit about cannibalism in both films.)
